Is it possible to extend the term of a contract after the expiry date and what regulation supports the decision if the extension is possible?

    Answer

No.  Unfortunately you cannot extend a contract after it has expired.  If additional work is still required to complete the requirement a new contracting vehicle must be established.  In this particular instance, you may also want to consult your legal counsel regarding possible legal ramifications as well as the most appropriate way to proceed forward.
