Is it possible to consolidate these mutiple contracts into one contracting vehicle although the POP dates does not align. How do I go about pulling together a strategy to implement effeciences. Are there risks assocatied with a planned consolidation . Additonally the second project eventhough bought w/ OMMC funds it's my understanding it cannot be rolled into the exsiting sustainment contract because of ongoing engineering work that does not fit into the definiation of sustainment ( eg minor configuration). thanks

The following response is based solely on the question and background information provided.  As we do not have all the facts particular to your contract, program and situation, we highly recommend you consult your Contracting Officer and Legal Office for guidance.

Until you are able to combine all requirements in a future contract, you should be able to award a contract for 2 years with RDTE funds and exercise an option for the third year with OMMC funds as long as the RDTE effort is completed and the OMMC funds are for the O&M work only.  Using the OMMC funds for RDTE work would be a misappropriation.

I suggest you check with your local Comptroller & legal department to ensure there is no funding/contractual problem based on your Agency's guidance.
