Is it permissible and/or appropriate for a Government employee or a requiring activity senior leader to conduct an exit interview with a contractor employee?
Answer
No. There could be legal implications for why the employee resigned, and as a result, legal implications if the government shares information with the employee. If the former employee would like feedback, he/she should request it from the (former) employer. It should be apparent by now that this is a "legal" issue, so for more authoritative guidance you should consult with your organization's legal counsel.
