Is there a regulation that covers the size of television that can be purchased?

    Answer

    1. The following reference is applicable to this response.
GSA eLibrary, Category 219 3 Televisions
      https://www.gsaelibrary.gsa.gov/ElibMain/sinDetails.do?executeQuery=YES&scheduleNumber=58+I&flag=&filter=&specialItemNumber=219+3

    2. As indicated at the above web link, there are a number of available vendors that routinely sell flat screen televisions at 60 inches or bigger on GSA eBuy to the Federal Government customers. Based on the above, we believe that there are no Federal regulations that would prohibit the purchase of such commercially available, larger flat screen televisions. Therefore, you will need to research the policy and procedures published by your local installation and by any higher echelon organizations as necessary to determine if there are any restrictions governing the purchase and/or installation of such large flat screen televisions in your installation’s common areas.
