Does DAU have a Decision Brief template (Power Point Format) that shows the Military Decision Management Process to make an Acquisitions Recommendation? Does the decision brief include Courses of Action (COAs) descriptions, Advantages and disadvantages, decision matrix, etc?
Answer
Decision briefing formats vary by agency and are dependent on many factors. For this reason DAU does not have a recommended format or template for use. The topic of briefing senior leaders has been addressed by a former DAU Vice President, Dr. Roy Wood. His article from Defense AT&L Magazine highlights the key topics required for a decision briefing. The article can be found here:
