This link shows that only DoD employees (military and APF civilians) assigned to acquisition coded positions can be certified. Only Defense Acquisition workforce members can request credit of particular DAWIA training requirements through the Fulfillment Program, which is approved via the DD Form 2518 by the respective agency or component. The individual's demonstrated competencies (capabilities acquired through previous training, education, and/or experience) are reviewed and compared against the learning outcomes/objectives of select DAU courses.
