Is there a FAR Clause that we can reference that hold the contractors accountable?

    Answer

There is no ACCOUNTABILITY CLAUSE.  All terms and conditions, clauses, exhibits, etc., are what we use to hold the contractor accountable.  And of course, the same is true in reverse.  To the extent those terms and conditions, clauses, exhibits, etc. require government action, we must perform.  This might be responding to contractor submissions or providing GFP for example.

If the contractor is not performing as required, we address the issue, formally if needed (be sure to document) and use Contractor Performance Assessment Reports (CPARs) if CPARS are required for the acquisition, reductions in progress payments as appropriate.
