How is systems engineering addressed post-FY 21 DAWIA Engineering Certification Requirements?
What, if any, FY 22 ETM Certification Requirements cover systems engineering?
What course work does the DAU offer to prepare individuals to use the AAF?
Is ENG 201 Applied Systems Engineering in Defense Acquisition, Part I (Last Modified: 05-Oct-2021) and LOG 0470 Sustaining Engineering (Last Modified: 14-Jun-2021) relevant for FY22?
ANSWER: If you have already graduated from the FY21 DAWIA courses such as ENG 202 and ENG 302 they should fulfill your DAWIA requirements for the old ENG certification (however, that’s up to your Service – not DAU). The current Engineering Technology Management (ETM) courses represent all of the required DAWIA courses provided by DAU. Foundational Courses are primarily online (OLT) and are numbered ETM 1010-1090 and the Practitioner courses are ETM 2010-2090. I’d recommend taking all of these new courses as many are quite short in duration (4 to 15 hours each for the Live – Virtual Instructor Led (VILT) courses).
ETM Foundational Courses and other recommendations and credentials for all Engineering to include System Engineering and Sustainment (such as CLCL 001 Product Support Management)

Question: How is systems engineering addressed post-FY 21 DAWIA Engineering Certification Requirements?
Answer: SE is addressed throughout all of the new ETM 1000 and 2000 numbered courses. No completely separate course that simply covers SE as a stand alone topic.

Answer: ACQ 1010, ACQ 2020, and ACQ 2030. Some of the ETM courses touch upon AAF but not as a specific deep dive. we have no courses that target aaf as a standalone topic. there is the link to the AAF website, which has a lot of good stuff there.

Answer for ENG 201 – it depends (on your Service) and which coursework you completed prior to the change over to ETM.
Pending your Service/Agency implementation, your existing DAWIA certification may be transitioned/converted into the Engineering and Technical Management certification framework at the Practitioner tier since you've met the following requirement(s):
Completed your DAWIA Engineering Level 2 certification
