Is there a source of review for close-out procedures?

    Answer

Program closeout activity is an area of interest that the DAU-South Region has
been actively developing for the last year. We have compiled an impressive
tool-kit to assist PMs and PEOs in the planning and initial execution phases
of the program shutdown.  I am providing a short executive summary of the
Smart shutdown Performance Support (SSPS) program and will contact you this
week to discuss your particular needs.

"The DAU has developed and implemented the DAU Smart ShutDown Performance
Support (SSPS) model, intended to guide Service programs to identify
actionable critical activities necessary to be accomplished to affect an
efficient and effective program closeout schedule of events. For the SSPS
effort, the foundational product/outcome is the database of "program actions
for consideration" that should be addressed by any program (ACAT I/II/III)
under a termination directive.  This database will assist in accomplishing an
orderly, disciplined, efficient realignment of all program activities to
affect the program shutdown. Additional information and guidance is presented
in a collection of Senior Leader Interviews capturing thoughts and concerns
from Service Leaders and Program Managers that have previously been through a
program shutdown. Additionally, the DAU has a cadre of individuals serving as
a contact team to Service Programs who request the DAU assistance to provide
initial mission/task execution support in the area of program closeouts.
Program termination/closeout assistance is available on the Smart ShutDown
Community of Practice on the Acquisition Community Connection portal
(https://acc.dau.mil) or by contacting Mr John Adams (256)922-8156 or Mr Mark
Unger (256)922-8741 at the DAU South Campus in Huntsville, Alabama. "
