Is it appropriate to purchase an area rug just to sort of 'patch' together an area of an office that has no carpet (bare concrete), and the other area which has new carpet? I have looked at local AF AETC policy memos, and not one of them covers this. I would imagine there would be no problem with it, since it's a $80 rug and there is no carpet installation involved.
AAP can answer questions of a general knowledge but does not have all of the facts and does not make contracting decisions or give legal opinions since those are to be answered within your command or agency. You should always check with your management, policy office or your legal counsel when inquiring about a specific purchasing decision or contract.
