Is there a FAR, DFARS, AFARS or other reference that states in black and white how many days contracting is allowed to process procurement actions, or is it developed by the contracting office based on experience or dictated by HQ?
FAR Part 7 Acquisition Planning, Paragraph 7.104, 7.105 is as close as I have been able to come to how contracting may estimate the time required to complete the milestones for an acquisition cycle.
While the FAR does have timeframes for synopsis and publizing contract actions, the FAR has no specific timeframe for processing requisitions. The time frame is left for each agency to determine as a metric and meassure. This provides the greatest flexibilty to each agency.
