Permit me to end the week by passing on a couple of announcements of interest to the community from the US Air Force Rapid Sustainment Office (RSO):

As we’d previously shared, the inaugural Advanced Manufacturing Olympics (AMO) will be held virtually this coming October. According to the RSO, “AMO will bring together a wide spectrum of participants from military, businesses, and academia to share insights on advanced manufacturing including 3D printing, artificial intelligence, automation and robotics, and more. “ Their website goes on to also advise that “The Air Force’s inaugural Advanced Manufacturing Olympics is an exciting week of collaboration, technical design challenges, speakers, and more, all focused on advanced manufacturing. Wherever you are, discover new technologies and insights from thought-leaders across government, industry, academia and small businesses – delivered straight to your digital device.”

This coming Thursday June 25, beginning at 12:30 pm EDT, the Air Force RSO will be hosting an “Ask Me Anything” event to share exclusive information about the Fall 2020 Advanced Manufacturing Olympics, and open the floor to any questions regarding this upcoming virtual event. None other than Dr. Will Roper, Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics, will be sharing information and insights on advanced manufacturing, the upcoming AMO, 3D printing and more.
