Learning at the point of need is a foundational tenet here at DAU. Most of you are web-savvy enough to  know about the extensive resources, references, and tools DAU makes available to assist you accomplish your job.  One of the most important is DAU’s Logistics Community of Practice (a.k.a. LOG CoP), which is easily accessible at https://acc.dau.mil/log. Out of the 44 acquisition communitiies of practice and special interest areas on what we call our Acquisition Community Connection (ACC), the LOG CoP is #1 in page views, topics, contributions, discussion threads, members, and even new members FY to date (now over 10,000!). Although the over 2,000 individual contributions are a key contributor to the success of the site – the fact that the Life Cycle Logsitics work force finds the content relevent and useful is the ultimate measure of success. Interestingly, if you do a Google search on many of the topic areas, the LOG CoP content will very often show up in the top four or five. Much of the material is posted by DAU faculty, however we encourage members to use it to share relevent unclassifed, non-copyright  materials, documents, presenations, and references. Members can submit materials for posting, which after review by an editor, will be available for all to access.

We encourage all life cycle logisticians to get involved. How? Post content. Share ideas. Suggest new materials. Pass on best practices. Let others take advantage of your expereince, expertise, and insights. Make your LOG CoP better! It’s called a logistics “community” of practice for a reason!
