CON 1300V Updates

Ray Ward
In line with DAU’s goal to generate learner excitement and add more “wow” to Contracting’s new Basic Certification courses, the CON 1300V (Contract Award) team (led by Jason Ackiss and Cindy Baker) has been actively working towards making CON 1300V the best it can be. First impressions are priceless, so CON 1300V’s first-of-its-type Course Overview provides a student-centered approach that consolidates an innovative welcome video, detailed syllabus, course schedule, and helpful MS Teams guidance. It is designed to help learners navigate the course even before class begins and illustrates what is required for the self-paced learning and live instruction portions. A link to the Course Overview was published in the iCatalog for all learners and supervisors to see at any time. The overview can be found in the iCatalog’s Description section at this link.
Yet another learner-centered initiative led to creation of an audiobook option for those who prefer learning in audio format. The audiobook option is a first-ever at DAU and was recorded and produced with DAU talent. It provides yet another way to enhance student fluency and understanding of the course content. CON 1300V is the epitome of frictionless learning and is raising the bar for “wow!”
