During January and February, Defense Pricing and Contracting has released a threesome of reports to help military departments and defense agencies, contracting officers, and other acquisition professionals to step up their game based on lessons learned and best practices from 2021.

FY 2021 Procurement Management Review “Year in Review” Newsletter
In the interest of enhancing the performance of contracting personnel throughout the Department, this memorandum forwards the FY 2021 Year in Review newsletter for the Procurement Management Review (PMR) Program. This annual report shares observations, best practices, and lessons learned gathered by the Defense Contract Management Agency during independent reviews of the procurement function at Other Defense Agencies and Defense Field Activities. Best Practices/Lessons Learned for Competitive Acquisitions
DPC has published best practices for Contracting Officers conducting competitive negotiations, gleaned through the OSD peer review program. This publication provides helpful insight for evaluating contract solicitations, proposals, and revisions, among other aspects of the competitive negotiation process.
