The DARPA Contracts Management Office (CMO) will be providing comprehensive training on the proper use and nuances of Other Transactions June 8 (8am-4pm) - June 9 (8am-12pm). The Other Transactions authorities allow DoD to award R&D and prototype agreements that are outside the normal government acquisition laws and regulations and allow for more flexibility than is often found in traditional government acquisition vehicles. Use of this authority has allowed DARPA and the Department to attract performers who might otherwise avoid working with the Government or have never had Government contracts. This day and a half training will discuss not only the history and overview of the OT statutes but best practices and lessons learned in their use. DARPA was the first DoD agency to award OTs beginning back in 1989 and has a long, successful history using them.
This training will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams and both government employees and contractors are welcome to attend. Attendees may attend for the entire training or any part that interests them and those attend the entire training will be eligible for 10 CLPs. Anyone who would like to attend should register at our website https://acquisitioninnovation.darpa.mil/. Once your registration is received, you will receive an email confirmation and the Teams link will be sent to you shortly before the training date.
If you have any questions about the training, please send them to [email protected].
