DAU Acquisition Training Symposium
Just a quick reminder of the one-day DAU Acquisition Training Symposium coming up next week on Tuesday April 7, 2015 in Scott Hall (Building 226) at Ft Belvoir, Virginia. Built upon the theme of “Achieving Dominant Capabilities through Technical Excellence and Innovation”, DAU will host senior leaders from government and industry as they share insights on various topics, including a USD (AT&L) keynote on the Implementation of the Better Buying Power 3.0 initiatives, as well as panel sessions on “Technology and Innovation: Protecting the Future by Keeping a Technical Edge” and a Congressional Panel on “Acquisition Reform Proposals.” Live sessions will be hosted at Scott Hall on the DAU Fort Belvoir Campus and broadcast via VTC to numerous sites around the country, and both on-site and remote participants will be eligible to earn 5 Continuous Learning Points (CLPs).
Among the scheduled training sessions that include “Critical Thinking for Effective Acquisition Outcomes”, Improving Interfaces between the Acquisition, Intelligence and Requirements Communities”, “Incentive Contracting Tools and Techniques that Work”, “PARCA Report on Performance of the Defense Acquisition System”, and “Defense Acquisition: A Contract Administrator's Perspective”, life cycle logisticians are encouraged to register for a training session presented by both OSD and DAU practitioners focusing on “Hands-on Implementation of Product Support (including a PBL Guidebook Tutorial).”
