Following up on receiving the 2011 Silver Vanguard Award from Chief Learning Officer Magazine, the Defense Acquisition University was honored again this year as winner of the 2012 Gold Award for Learning Strategy in recognition of the DAU Learning and Technology Roadmap (2012 – 2015) at the 10th Annual Chief Learning Officer Symposium on September 20 in Colorado Springs.

The Chief Learning Officer magazine Learning Strategy Award, one of several 2012 Chief Learning Officer Learning In Practice Awards, honors executives demonstrating exceptional business acumen and vision in the development and execution of a learning strategy supporting an annual objective of their organization. 

Gold, silver, and bronze CLO Learning In Practice awards are given annually to practitioners and providers in recognition of excellence in learning and employee development. Other award winners included McDonald's Corporation, Coldwell Banker, BAE Systems, IBM, Hewlett Packard, Lloyds Banking Group, Cigna, and Hilton Worldwide, among many others.
