The DoD Inspector General today released the results of their “Audit of Governance and Protection of Department of Defense Artificial Intelligence Data and Technology (DODIG-2020-098)”. According to the IG, “the objective of this audit was to determine the DoD’s progress in developing an Artificial Intelligence (AI) governance framework and standards and to determine whether the DoD Components implemented security controls to protect AI data and technologies from internal and external cyber threats.”
