DoD Product Support Manager Conference
As a follow-on to its highly successful November 2011 conference, the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (Materiel Readiness), with support from the DAU Learning Capabilities Integration Center (LCIC) Logistics & Sustainment Center, will host the second Product Support Manager (PSM) Conference June 5-7, 2012. This June 2012 Product Support Manager Conference will be held at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, in Scott Hall, Building 226, Howell Auditorium. The intended audience for the PSM Conference will include DoD Product Support Managers (PSM), Defense Industry equivalents, and Academia. The conference agenda will include an integrated panel discussion on Product Support Expectations and Challenges, briefings on Industry Product Support Strategic Views and How They Impact Life Cycle Cost, Partnering and Industrial Integration, Product Support Contracting Strategies, etc., all of which support the theme of Integrating Government and Industry for Improved Product Support. DoD also intends to facilitate two strategic Product Support Forums on “Successfully Leading a Product Support Team” and “Developing, Implementing, and Executing a Life Cycle Product Support Strategy”. The conference will provide PSMs, Industry, and Academia an opportunity to further develop the workforce's Life Cycle Logistics competency skills, share lessons learned and best practices with their peers, and strengthen industry and government collaboration in support of highly effective product support strategies.
