FY 2022 Procurement Management Review
Mr. John Krieger
Defense Pricing and Contracting has recently released the FY 2022 Procurement Management Review “Year in Review” Newsletter. For those unfamiliar with PMRs, the Defense Contract Management Agency leads independent reviews of the procurement function of each Defense Agency and Defense Field Activity that performs contracting operations. These reviews assess the effectiveness of the contracting function, analyze and assist in any problem areas, and identify noteworthy practices that may be beneficial to all organizations.

The Newsletter provides a short summary of PMR activities in the last fiscal year. As in previous years, the Newsletter does a combination of things, describing the purpose, personnel, processes and results of the PMRs. The Newsletter includes a link to the website for PMRs: Contract Policy - Procurement Management Reviews (PMRs), where more detailed information on preparation and results can be found.

Each Other Defense Agency and 4th Estate Contracting Activity that has contracting authority is reviewed approximately once every three years. Out-of-cycle reviews may be required or requested. For those of you interested in knowing whether your organization is up for review, the Newsletter provides a list of covered organizations and the FY23 PMR Schedule, and the proposed FY24 Projected PMR Schedule.

The Newsletter can be found in the Defense Pricing and Contracting Policy Vault at FY 2022 Procurement Management Review “Year in Review” Newsletter.
