For those of you assigned to the 4th Estate, if you haven't done so recently, recommend taking a few minutes to check/update your personal profile in the 4th Estate Defense Acquisition Talent Management System (DATMS) system.

Depending on your organization, some users have found that the system may not always automatically update every personal information, field including when your supervisor changes -- potentially leaving 80-hour continuous learning requests in a pending/unapproved status.

There’s an easy fix for that, however -- simply login to DATMS and once on the homepage with your dashboard, click your name in the top right corner of the screen. Once you click your name, a pop-up box should appear. Click My Profile. Navigate to the supervisor tab and search for your supervisor. Then select the blue update information box.

By the way, for those of you who might not be familiar with the term “4th Estate” (or the acronym “DACM” for that matter), according to the 4th Estate Director, Acquisition Career Management website, “the 4th Estate DACM represents civilians assigned to the defense agencies and field activities outside the military departments – a community comprising more than 27,000 Defense Acquisition Workforce members. The 4th Estate DACM is responsible for collaborating with the defense agencies on all facets of career development and management of the Defense Acquisition Workforce.”
