IA&E Podcast 1: Why do the USG and DoD Pursue IA&E Efforts?

Frank Kenlon (Prof of Int'l Acq, DAU/DSMC-Int'l)

We recently developed and posted our first podcast -- Why Do the USG and DoD Pursue International Acquisition & Exportability Efforts? -- on the DAU.edu.media International Acquisition Management Channel. It explores the various perceptions and motivations that influence USG and DoD organizations -- and more specifically, DoD acquisition workforce organizations and personnel -- to identify, explore, formulate, and implement international acquisition transactions that support the U.S. National Security and Defense strategies.

We hope listeners find this initial podcast useful, and plan to develop and publish more IA&E podcasts in the future to provide an additional source of IA&E knowledge and best practice advice to DAU students, defense acquisition workforce members, and the International Acquisition Career Path and Security Cooperation Workforce communities in government and industry.

Please consider sending us suggestions on future IA&E podcast topics to [email protected] to help us build an IA&E podcast series that addresses your needs.

Until next time, Prof K
