Encourage life cycle logistics workforce members to take a look at the USD(A&S) Human Capital Initiatives (HCI) office’s “Back-To-Basics Initiative - Empowering the Defense Acquisition Workforce Today and for Their Future!” website for an important new announcement. According to the August 31, 2021 announcement “the planned implementation of Back-to-Basics, which modernizes the defense acquisition workforce certification framework, was originally targeted to start on October 1, 2021. The targeted implementation date of October 1, 2021 is revised to February 1, 2022. This change provides additional time to fully implement BtB improvements for the defense acquisition workforce.”
