Latest Update on DAU Alexa Skill Voice User Interface
For those of you who use Alexa smart-speakers such as Echo devices, you might want to check out the latest release of the DAU Alexa Skill which can bring up the blog posts of any specific functional areas, including the most popular logistics blogs. According to our app developers:
After saying "Open Defense Acquisition University" to start the conversation, you can ask if there are "Any new blogs from Logistics?" or "Any recent posts from ?" You will then be able to hear DAU Alexa Skill reading the latest LOG Blog posts. You may say "Next" for the next post, or "Read More" for detail of the current post. Note that the terms Logistics and LOG are interchangeable in this scenario.
Our developers have also advised that “the whole idea of DAU Alexa Skill initiative has been following Design Thinking Process. We started with the challenge of bringing voice-first hands-free natural language capable service to DAU users, through research, ideation, proof-of-concept, and rounds of experiments, we came up with the current version of prototype released into our users' hands. However, the journey has not ended yet, we would love to hear from our DAU users as they are testing and using DAU Alexa Skill. The feedback from them will provide information that helps us further refine the Skill itself, and/or redefine the problem, or even lead to new ideas for future exploration.”
For additional information, visit our DAU Alexa Skill site . If you have any questions, need assistance with downloading, would like to provide feedback, or would like to offer suggestions for future functionality, please send an email to [email protected], subject: "DAU Alexa Skill".
