Myth-Busting 2 Memo "Addressing Misconceptions and Further Improving Communication During the Acquisition Process"

Bill Kobren

On February 2, 2011, the Office of Federal Procurement Policy (OFPP) under the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) issued a memorandum entitled  "Myth-Busting: Addressing Misconceptions to Improve Communication with Industry during the Acquisition Process". This memo was written to improve communication between Federal agencies and the vendor community by addressing some of the myths Federal agencies had regarding various types of communication.

On May 7, 2012, OFPP issued a second memorandum entitled “ Myth-Busting 2: Addressing Misconceptions and Further Improving Communication During the Acquisition Process” which focuses on the misconceptions from the vendor community regarding communication with Federal agencies to provide additional information and strategies to promote more effective communication.

Encourage you to take a look at both memos if you have not already had the opportunity to read them.
