Encourage members of the life cycle logistics and product support manager community to check out a Navy News story this week entitled “Navy Launches Sustainment Pilot Program for E-2D Advanced Hawkeye”. The article describes how Department of the Navy established “…an enduring and disciplined sustainment management process by approving and launching the first Sustainment Program Baseline (SPB) pilot for the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye in fiscal 2020.” The SPB, as astute members of our community will quickly recognize, was one of the many recommendations outlined in the Advisory Panel on Streamlining and Codifying Acquisition Regulations (Section 809 Panel) Volume 3 Report.
