Permit me to call to your attention a recent DAU Contracting Blog post entitled “New Defective Pricing Credential Deployed” announcing the deployment of the newest Defense Acquisition Credential entitled “CCON 007 Defective Pricing Credential.”

This new contracting credential, the deplopyment of which brings the total number of available Defense Acquisition Credentials to 28, was developed to provide training on processing defective pricing findings from the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) audit through settlement/litigation. The credential and associated learning assets were developed because of renewed Congressional interest. At the time the credential was developed, there were over $700 million in outstanding potential defective pricing recovery. This credential consists of four learning assets: CON 7700 Defective Pricing - an online training course; an interest calculator exercise; a capstone game; and a discussion of contractor novel negotiation strategies.
