Wanted to let the life cycle logistics and product support community know that our DAU systems engineering colleagues have deployed a new interdisciplinary ENG 0850 Reliability and Maintainability Engineering Management online training (OLT) course.

This course was designed to familiarize the student the R&M engineering activities that are required during the life cycle phases of DoD defense acquisition programs. This course presents an overview of the R&M engineering activities and serves as an introductory course to the R&M Engineering series which now includes:

DAU also offers three related interdisciplinary courses these important topics, including:

The target audience for this new training course is early mid-level personnel in positions supporting DoD weapons systems throughout their acquisition and sustainment life cycles. The targeted career levels include military officers O–3 and above, civilians GS–7 and above, and industry equivalents in the Engineering, Program Management, Test & Evaluation, and Life Cycle Logistics acquisition career fields.

Encourage DoD life cycle logisticians, product support managers, and where applicable, their industry counterparts to consider this new learning asset – along with all eight of these interdisciplinary courses as a part of your individual professional development planning.
