New DAU Supportability & Design Interface Credential

Following on the heels of last Friday's launch of our new Product Support Management Fundamentals Credential, your DAU teammates are pleased to announce the deployment of yet another new credential, the fifth in our expanding portfolio of fifteen planned Integrated Product Support (IPS) Element-based DAU life cycle logistics credentials! The new CLCL 005 Supportability & Design Interface credential is now available for student registration.

This latest interdisciplinary life cycle logistics credential brings together seven on-line training (OLT) courses and supporting resources to offer a comprehensive overview of the relationship between supportability and design interface throughout a program’s life cycle. The credential enables the student to tie together the various functional disciplines within a Program Office to understand the “how” and “why” of supportability.

CLCL 005 Supportability & Design Interface is designed to provide learners an overarching understanding of Design Interface Integrated Product Support (IPS) element including the importance of designing and fielding supportable systems. A capstone exercise and summative examination must be completed to demonstrate the learner’s ability to apply what they have learned. While developed to support DoD life cycle logisticians, product support managers and systems engineers, personnel from all defense acquisition workforce functional areas – including business/financial managers, cost estimators, and program managers -- are highly encouraged to consider taking this new credential.

With several more product support-focused credentials slated to deploy in the coming months, as of today we now have have five product support-focused life cycle logistics credentials available:
