New Defective Pricing Course Available!!

Dr. Renee Butler
CON 7700, Defective Pricing was deployed on, February 15, 2022. This course provides an introduction to Defective Pricing. What is defective pricing? Is defective pricing a contract remedy? Are there instances where defective pricing requires a legal remedy? During this course, we will discuss the requirements of the Truth in Negotiation Act, the definition of Cost or Pricing Data, Subcontractor Defective Pricing, the Statute of Limitations, Offsets, the importance of the Price Negotiation Memorandum, and Contract Audit Follow-Up procedures.

In this course, learners will follow the defective pricing process flow from a DCAA auditor’s post award audit assignment through defective pricing settlement. Students will be required to use the DAU-developed Contract Disputes Act Interest Calculator to calculate mandatory interest for overpayments. This course was developed by auditing, legal, and contracting personnel and is intended for multi-functional teams and will be part of an upcoming Defective Pricing Credential.
