New Defense Category Management Credential

Following the launch last week of “CCON 016 Excel Skills for Data Analytics and Visualization Credential”, wanted to let the community know that our Acquisition/Program Management colleagues have deployed CACQ 007 Category Management Credential, the 34th in a series of new multi-disciplinary defense acquisition credentials available to the workforce. Upon completion of this credential, learners will be able recognize the concepts, principles and functions of category management. It is an introductory-level training asset that is specifically designed to give a solid grounding to the category management community by exploring processes and practices, governance, and regulatory structure as well as general terminology. For the purposes of this credential, the assumption is that learners have little or no experience or exposure to category management. The target audience includes all category management team members to include category managers, category management program support office personnel, contracting officers, contracting officer's representatives, contracting specialists, and those who are involved in developing and executing category management strategies. In addition, this credential may enhance general knowledge of category management accountable officials and their staffs.
