New Defense Pricing Tools & Techniques Credential
In addition to the launch yesterday of the new CLCL 008 Product Support Arrangements Credential, your DAU colleagues are pleased to also announce the deployment of the 42nd defense acquisition credential from our contracting cost and pricing teammates entitled “CCON 017 Pricing Tools and Techniques”.
Available now for student registration, this new credential provides a survey of various pricing tools and techniques available to the workforce to analyze contract proposals. This credential begins with an introductory video, followed by two Coursera guided projects. In the first guided project, the student will learn the basics of using Power BI Desktop software by analyzing data on credit card defaults. In the second guided project, students will learn the basics of using Tableau Public software to visualize Citibike Trips Dataset. By the end of this project, you will have created a few visualizations and a collection of visualizations called a dashboard. Both of these projects simply introduce the student to these data visualization products; if more detailed training is desired, the student can then enroll in CCON 016, Excel for Data Analytics and Visualization. Students will also attend a Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) course on Advanced Proposal Modeling using Excel. The target audience for this new credential includes defense acquisition workforce members interested in learning more about different software packages that can be used to analyze contractor proposals.
The deployment of this new CCON 017 credential also brings to 42 the total number of multi-disciplinary defense acquisition credentials now available from DAU, which now include:
