New Designing for Transportability Training Course

Your DAU colleagues are pleased to announce the deployment of our newest multi-disciplinary DAU life cycle logistics online training course entitled “LOG 0450 Designing for Transportability

This newly re-designated course, which replaces the now-retired CLL 045, is designed to familiarize the learner with information for the approval and certification processes used to design, develop, and ensure the safe and effective transportability of vehicles and equipment. The target audience includes members of the defense acquisition and sustainment workforce from all functional areas, including but not limited to life cycle logisticians, product support managers, program managers, and systems engineers responsible for designing, developing, fielding, supporting and transporting DoD vehicles and equipment. Encourage all defense acquisition workforce members to consider taking advantage of this interdisciplinary, no tuition-cost, online professional development opportunity!

The deployment of LOG 0450 leaves us with just two remaining life cycle logistics continuous learning modules. As I’ve shared previously, a quick reminder:
  • All of our online life cycle logistics continuous learning modules are in the process of transitioning from the old CLL designation to a new LOG designation. We expect to complete this conversion in the coming weeks.
  • All of our logistics courses, including Instructor-Led Training (ILT), Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT), and online training (OLT) courses are also in the process of transitioning to the new four-digit course numbering structure. We expect to complete this conversion by the end of FY22.
  • The fourth digit indicates version number, and will increase numerically thereafter with each major course revision.
  • The new numbering taxonomy structure for DAU life cycle logistics training courses is as follows:
    • LOG 0010 to 0990 – Former Continuous Learning Modules or new short courses
    • LOG 1000 to 1990 – Former or new 100 Foundational Courses
    • LOG 2000 to 2990 – Former or new 200 Intermediate-Level Courses
    • LOG 3000 to 3990 – Former or new 300 Advanced-Level Courses
    • LOG 4000 to 4990 – Former or new 400 Executive-Level Courses
