The Department of Defense recently issued an updated DoD Manual 4140.01, Volume 7 entitled “DoD Supply Chain Materiel Management Procedures: Supporting Technologies”. One of several volumes, this updated manual “implements policy, assigns responsibilities, and provides procedures for DoD materiel managers and others who work within or with the DoD supply system” and “stablishes standard terminology for use in DoD supply chain materiel management.” It also “prescribes procedures for supporting DoD supply chain materiel management with logistics technology.”
