New Human Systems Integration (HSI) Training Course
Wanted to take a moment this morning to let the DoD life cycle logistics community know that our DAU engineering colleagues have deployed a new ENG 0620 Human Systems Integration (HSI) online training course.
This course is designed to provide the learner with the basic understanding of Human Systems Integration (HSI) as part of the Department of Defense's Total Systems Engineering approach for optimizing system performance minimizing total ownership costs. Students will also be introduced to the HSI domains of Human Factors Engineering, Personnel, Habitability, Manpower, Training, Environment, Safety and Occupational Health, and Survivability. The target audience includes any member of the defense acquisition workforce interested in understanding how to effectively HSI in their program.
Also, for those who may not already be aware, a quick reminder that HSI is one of several key technically-focused life cycle logistics tasks identified under the Design Interface competency area, namely to “evaluate results of Human Systems Integration (HSI) analyses to influence product support package development.”
