New Performance Based Logistics Community of Practice (PBL CoP) Has Deployed
As promised in my previous blog post entitled “Exploring the new www.DAU Website” I shared some insights into the capabilities of the new https://www.dau.mil site and some navigation hints.
Today, wanted to introduce you to the first of the 46 communities of practice (CoP) to migrate from the legacy Acquisition Community Connection (ACC) to the new SharePoint-based https://www.dau.mil site. That site is none other than our very own Performance Based Logistics Community of Practice (PBL CoP).
In addition to all the content you remember from the legacy ACC PBL CoP site, the site also affords users a vastly improved search functionality, a new community poll, a new “Share an Idea/Ask the Community” capability, a new Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section, links to related resources, and of course links (via the grey “Menu” button at the top left side of the screen) to the new functional gateway for the life cycle logistics career field (Bookmark Link: https://www.dau.mil/sites/default/files/Migrate/training/career-development/logistics/) and the plethora of other capacities of the website.
The launch of the new PBL CoP is merely the first step toward all DAU web content being accessible from a single, easily searchable website. While content migration has just begun, we’re already well on our way! Over the coming months, the other communities (including our Additive Manufacturing Community of Practice [AM CoP] and of course our venerable Logistics Community of Practice [LOG CoP]), along with ACQuipedia, Ask-a-Professor (AAP), Product Support Key References, the Product Support Analytical Tools Database, and a myriad of other references and resources will steadily be migrated over to the new https://www.dau.mil website. Check back often to see the content migration progess!
