Wanted to let the community know that DAU today deployed a new ACQuipedia article entitled Product Support SMART Metrics. This brings the total number of life cycle logistics and product support articles to 155, representing one third of the total of 468 defense acquisition and sustainment related articles currently available on the DAU ACQuipedia website.

This new product support metrics-focused article was developed to complement the range of product support and performance-based logistics-focused articles currently available, including Product Support Incentives - Motivating Achievement of Desired Outcomes. The intent is that these articles – along with a range related policies, guidance, resources, tools and training to assist the workforce and programs successfully develop and implement outcome-based product support strategies that both measure and incentivize required outcomes. The intent is also to provide additional insights into the power and attributes of effective SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Timely) product support metrics, as well as serve as references for our LOG 235 Performance Based Logistics and LOG 340 Life Cycle Product Support training courses.
