New Supply Chain Security Technical Paper of Interest

Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM), supply chain resiliency, and securing our supply chains are rightfully getting a great deal of attention by leaders at all levels and across both the public and private sector. Coming quickly on the heels of our recent DAU LOG Blog post entitled “DoD Supply Chain Vulnerability and Resiliency Review”, of potential interest is a newly-published technical paper from MITRE entitled “Supply Chain Security—It’s Everyone’s Business”. The paper reminds us that ”…while today’s supply chains are often built to maximize efficiency and reduce costs, they generally suffer from reduced resiliency to unexpected events and disruptions” and “…therefore, it is necessary for the acquisition and sustainment communities, as well as the greater community of stakeholders, to work toward greater understanding on how to connect and address those more comprehensive supply chain security requirements. In this new environment, supply chain security is everyone’s business.”
