Recommended Product Support Articles
A few weeks ago I shared in a blog post entitled “Recommended Reading List for the Life Cycle Logistician and Product Support Manager” a list of books that the life cycle logistician or the product support manager might want to consider reading or having available as a reference to enhance their own professional development. We’ve been asked whether there is a similar list of articles available as well. While such a list of published articles would be far too extensive to post here, as a public service, we opted instead to highlight a list of articles on these subjects published since 2009 from two highly regarded periodicals, namely the Defense Acquisition Review Journal and the Defense AT&L Magazine. We have posted them on the DAU Logistics Community of Practice (LOG CoP) under the heading of Product Support, Life Cycle Management and Life Cycle Logistics Article Recommended Reading List. As a public service, that list is also provided below:
· “Misunderstood Superheroes: Batman and Performance-Based Logistics”
(Defense AT&L Magazine, January-February 2009)
· “Shaping the Life Cycle Logistics Workforce to Achieve Desired Sustainment Outcomes”
(Defense Acquisition Review Journal, April 2009)
· “What Performance Based Logistics Is And What It Is Not— And What It Can And Cannot Do” (Defense Acquisition Review Journal, October 2009)
· “The Future of Product Support”
(Defense AT&L Magazine, March-April 2010)
· “Achieving Outcomes-based Life Cycle Management”
(Defense Acquisition Review Journal, January 2010)
· “The Product Support Manager: Achieving Success In Executing Life Cycle Management Responsibilities”
(Defense Acquisition Review Journal, April 2010)
(Defense Acquisition Review Journal, October 2010)
(Defense AT&L Magazine, July-August 2011)
· “Challenge and Change in Supply Chain Management: Pointed Questions & Blunt Answers” (Defense AT&L Magazine, July-August 2011)
(Defense AT&L Magazine Better Buying Power Special Edition, September-October 2011)

Please also be aware that the very next issue (March-April 2012 edition) of Defense AT&L Magazine will be devoted entirely to articles focusing on DoD Product Support. Watch for additional information in this blog in the coming weeks!
