Registration Deadline for DoD Product Support Manager (PSM) Workshop Fast Approaching
As I shared in a blog post back in early October, the DoD Product Support Manager Workshop is coming up in early January. Many defense acquisition workforce members also received an automated e-mail late yesterday advising:
“The Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (Material Readiness) will host the PSM Workshop January 13-15 at Howell Auditorium on the campus of the Defense Acquisition University, Fort Belvoir, Virginia. The theme for this year is “Tangible Tools for the Workforce,” featuring government and industry presentations on Cost and Affordability (Day 1), Support and Sustainment (Day 2), and Industry Perspectives and Incentives (Day 3). This workshop will provide an opportunity to develop Life Cycle Logistics competence in applying Better Buying Power (BBP) principles, share best practices, and strengthen collaboration between industry and government leaders. Online registration for the 2015 PSM Workshop will be available through Friday, December 12, 2014. Workshop attire is business causal or uniform of the day.”
I’m re-posting this to highlight the fact that registration cuts off Friday, December 12, 2014 -- and if you plan to attend, that you need to register by the end of next week. DoD Product Support Managers, Program Managers, PEOs, and their staffs are all encouraged to attend this DoD-sponsored professional development opportunity. Indeed, DoD civilians, military personnel, PSM and life cycle logistics counterparts in other federal agencies, and industry and contractor personnel supporting DoD are welcome and also encouraged to visit the PSM Workshop website to learn more.
