In addition to the variety of DoD-level individual and team product support and sustainment awards, would call your attention to several additional Service-level awards of potential interest to workforce members from those respective organizations, including:
  • Dr. James G. Roche Product Support Excellence Award (Air Force): The is an annual award which recognizes the Program Management Office (PMO) that demonstrates excellence toward attaining effective and affordable product support strategies. All Air Force Program Offices are eligible to compete for this award based on their development and execution of product support strategies. Do not nominate a PMO for the same award won within the previous five years. The award is granted for contributions made or completed within the preceding calendar year (1 January to 31 December) or as specified in the call for nominations.
  • Product Support Innovation Award (Air Force): Recognizes program offices/teams who challenge traditional sustainment approaches and create new innovative ways to benefit program product support strategies. This award recognizes program office personnel and teams who have developed innovative sustainment approaches or technologies in order to maximize readiness and/or reduce life cycle costs of their program. The package should highlight the creative use of technology or new processes that deliver sustainment capabilities in support of weapon systems in all phases of the life cycle from new rapid acquisition activities to sustaining of existing or legacy systems.
  • Admiral Stan Arthur Awards for Logistics Excellence (Navy): The Admiral Stan Arthur Awards for Logistics Excellence recognize Navy individuals and teams whose contributions significantly supported the Navy mission, promoted innovative ideas and concepts that resulted in substantial and quantifiable benefits to the Navy, and enhanced the logistics profession.
