For those who attended last week’s DoD Product Support Manager’s (PSM) Workshop, or who are simply interested in learning more about the topics discussed at the event, encourage you to visit the DoD PSM Workshop Presentation Materials website.

In keeping with the "Fast, Lethal, Supportable: The Application of Supportability Analysis" theme of the workshop, wanted to also share with the community some of the wide array of resources available here at DAU on this topic, including:

Training Courses

Continuous Learning Modules

ACQuipedia Articles

To gain a better appreciate of the range of public- and private-sector tools and data sources available, encourage you to also visit our Product Support Analytical Tools Database. This repository profiles hundreds of government and commercial tools used to help facilitate product support decisions, with an emphasis on DoD weapon system product support. This database includes decision support tools and data sources for product support modeling, simulation, management, analysis, assessment, evaluation, and logistics product data management. Note: after watching the overview video, users should sign-in to the page (using the “Sign In” link in the top right corner of the screen, since the vast majority of the tools listed in the database are either commercial or non-DAU government, and are not visible without being logged into the site), the click the “Launch Tool Button”. Users can filter by process that the tool supports (e.g., selecting “Supportability Analysis” link pulls up over 100 tools and databases).

Additionally, check out some of the related professional books from our Life Cycle Logistics Recommended Reading List.

Finally, in addition to a range of Supportability Analysis-related commercial standards and handbooks (recommend checking the ASSIST website to confirm those with DoD adoption notices), DAU provides direct links to the MIL-HDBK-502A Product Support Analysis as an integral part of our DoD Product Support Guidebook Suite.
