Your DAU teammates have deployed three new multi-disciplinary DAU training courses to help facilitate your professional development, expand your acquisition and requirements management knowledge, and broaden your interdisciplinary understanding. They include:

  • RQM 1101 Core Concepts for Requirements Management - This Online Training (OLT) course allows professionals to study the role of both the requirements manager and requirements management within the Department of Defense (DoD) “Big A” acquisition construct. It examines the capabilities identification and requirements development processes from an end-to-end perspective, highlighting the intersection between the DoD “Big A” decision support systems of acquisition, resourcing, and requirements. The target audience includes those significantly involved with DoD capability identification and requirements development, study leadership; planning, writing, and adjudicating comments; and facilitating the development and coordination of requirements documents within organizations. This course is the joint standard for certification of the Level A Requirements Management Certification Training requirement for any member of the Department of Defense involved in the development of requirements for a major defense acquisition program (MDAP).

  • RQM 2500 Capabilities-Based Assessments - This OLT course prepares students to be part of a Capabilities Based Assessment team. The course covers the CBA based on the content of the JCIDS manual. It walks through the three phases of the CBA and each of the eight steps within those three phases. It starts with how to determine the military problem or the tasks to be accomplished followed by assessing the capabilities existing in the current and programmed force. This results in identifying the capability gaps and operational risks. Finally, the course steers through developing recommended solutions across the DOTmLPF-P. The target audience for this course is all DoD workforce civilians and military members who participate in identifying capability gaps.

  • CON 7500 Contract Financing - This OLT course will provide the learner the requisite knowledge to provide oversight and administration in a multitude of contract financing scenarios. This learning asset provides an overview of all contract financing concepts contained within FAR part 32, DFARS part 232, and DFARS PGI part 232. This course is one of three courses in the CCON 005, Contract Financing Credential which will also include CON 7510, Progress Payments and CON 7520, Performance Based Payments. The target audience includes contracting and program management professionals or others in the acquisition community who intend to gain a better understanding of contract financing.
