Three New Interdisciplinary DAU Online Training Courses

Bill Kobren
Your DAU acquisition and life cycle logistics colleagues are pleased to announce the deployment of three new online training courses to assist with your personal and professional development:
  • LOG 0270 Introduction to DoD Software Lifecycle Management – this new course, which replaced the recently retired CLL 027, is intended to familiarize the learner with information, terminology, acquisition policy, processes, considerations, and challenges that impact DoD software life cycle management. The target audience includes Defense acquisition and sustainment workforce members who contribute to the life cycle management of software intensive systems. This includes workforce members from all functional areas, including but not limited to life cycle logisticians, product support managers, program managers, and systems engineers seeking to more effectively and efficiently support and sustain DoD weapon systems.
  • LOG 0620 Counterfeit Prevention Awareness – this new online training course replaces the now-retired CLL 062. It provides an entry-level introduction to the issues of counterfeit materiel and counterfeiting's impact on DoD programs and products as well, as to provide information into the identification, reporting, and disposal of known or suspected counterfeit items. The target audience includes all defense acquisition workforce members, including but not limited to life cycle logisticians, product support managers, program managers, contracting officers, and systems engineers.
  • ACQ 0030 Overview of Acquisition Ethics – this new online training course replaces the retired CLM 003, among the most attended courses DAU offers. It reinforces important legal and ethics standards governing interactions between Government and DoD contractor personnel. Areas of concentration include gifts from contractors, reporting program information, procurement sensitive and other non-public information, the Procurement Integrity Act, seeking employment and post-Government employment restrictions, and ethical problems that can arise when both Government and contractor personnel work on common goals as a single team. In this training professionals will make ethical choices when confronted with an ethical dilemma. The target audience for the new ACQ 0030 is defense acquisition workforce members from any DoD field background that work and interact with contractors.
