This year's theme L.I.V.E. (Leadership, Innovation, Velocity, Excellence) exemplifies the mission of the Symposium to offer a forum where senior leaders and career minded logisticians and logistic operators can collaborate to identify challenges and discuss real solutions to rapidly improve the logistics capabilities and standards of today's U.S. Air Force.

·         DoD Diminishing Manufacturing Sources & Material Shortages (DMSMS) 2016 Conference (November 28 – December 1, 2016) in Denver, Colorado.  Overview: with a theme of “DMSMS: Improving Technical Excellence Throughout the Lifecycle””, the focus will be on each of the below innovative parts of the DMSMS Lifecycle: Organic DMSMS Solutions, DLA Processes and Collaboration, R&D in DMSMS Management and Solutions, Parts Management, Supply Chain Risk Management, Obsolescence Management Best Practices, DMSMS Role in Systems Engineering, DMSMS Management in the Acquisition and Sustainment Phases, and DMSMS Impacts from Industrial Base Changes. This is the premier event that brings together leaders from government, industry, and academia to exchange perspectives and information about critical Department of Defense (DOD) industrial base policies, sector analyses and manufacturing technology programs for the production and sustainment of affordable defense systems. As such, this is the largest annual forum for enhancing and leveraging the efforts of scientists, engineers, managers, technology leaders and policy makers across the defense manufacturing industrial base to share DMSMS and Obsolescence mitigation approaches, lessons learned and the exchange of ideas. Note: this event is being held in conjunction with the 2016 Defense Manufacturing Conference (DMC 2016).

·         2016 DoD Maintenance Symposium (December 5-8, 2016) in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Overview: with a theme of “Engaging Tomorrow's Maintenance Enterprise Challenges, Today”, the mission of the 2016 DoD Maintenance Symposium is to create an environment that enables attendees to share relevant information, identify critical issues, discuss key topics, and increase their awareness of Department of Defense maintenance initiatives. The DoD Maintenance Symposium is co-located with the Defense Maintenance and Logistics Exhibition.
