Two New Multidisciplinary Resources of Interest
Our DoD Engineering and Technology Management (ETM) colleagues recently issued two new multidisciplinary guidebooks of potential interest to the defense acquisition workforce:

Software Engineering for Continuous Delivery of Warfighting Capability (April 2023) – “This guide is intended to help Department of Defense (DoD) Program Management Offices (PMSs), defense engineers, software engineers, and acquisition officials plan and execute software development in an environment of changing software technologies, software engineering practices, software requirements, and software acquisition practices….This guide assists program in adopting modern software development practices that apply more automation and engineering rigor to deliver better software faster.”

Integrated Master Plan and Integrated Master Schedule Preparation and Use Guide (May 2023) - “The Department of Defense (DoD), other agencies and DoD contractors use Integrated Master Plans (IMPs) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMSs) to plan and manage projects from inception to completion. Together the IMP and IMS integrate the activities and schedule components necessary to complete a project successfully… This guide will assist Program Managers (PMs), project officers, and contractors in preparing and implementing IMPs and IMSs for DoD programs.”
