ACQ 0080 - Federally Funded Research and Development Centers:

This Online Training (OLT) course provides DoD Acquisition community with a thorough understanding of Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs).   It is designed to provide an overall perspective of how FFRDCs operate and work with the federal government and DoD Acquisition community.  At the end of this course, students will be able to 1)Describe Federally Funded Research and Development Centers guiding principles, relevancy, and limitations on usage. 2) Identify milestones in the history of Federally Funded Research and Development Centers. 3) Identify Federally Funded Research and Development Centers governance 4) Identify types of Federally Funded Research and Development Centers. 5) Identify how to work with Federally Funded Research and Development Centers Sponsors and 6) Identify the core areas of expertise for Federally Funded Research and Development Centers.

The target audience for this course is DoD Acquisition professionals interested in procuring work from an FFRDC.
