Upgraded New DAU Logistics Functional Area Gateway

Bill Kobren
Regular visitors to the DAU website will notice something new and different today – namely a more streamlined and less cluttered look and feel to the homepage, particularly as it relates to our Powerful Examples of Program Success and the rapidly expanding DAU Credentials site. Moreover, the newest link is front and center under the headline “Recommended Content for Your Job All in One Place” – also known as the newly revamped Acquisition Functional Area gateway pages.

Aligning with the USD Acquisition & Sustainment Human Capital Initiatives (HCI) “Back-to-Basics (BtB) 21st Century Acquisition Workforce talent management framework, DAU now offers six functional area gateways, including one for Life Cycle Logistics! The site provides easy, one-stop-shop access to everything the life cycle logistician and product support manager would need, including direct access to getting help on the job, credentialing, DAWIA certification training, other logistics and product support learning assets, ACQuipedia, communities, job resources, upcoming events, recommended tools for your workday, and of course, direct access to the latest DAU LOG Blogs.

The new Life Cycle Logistics Functional Area Gateway enhances, streamlines, and eventually will replace the existing Logistics Functional Community Gateway. The new Acquisition Functional Area gateway page will also replace the existing Functional Gateways page, consolidating the 21 functional areas down to just six primary functional areas.

Encourage you to explore these exciting new, streamlined resources for yourself – and please send us your feedback and suggested improvements by selecting the “Let us Know” button at the bottom of the page.
