USAF Logistics Professional Development Program (LPDP)

Bill Kobren

I just wanted to take a moment to extend our congratulations to our US Air Force colleagues for recently achieving a significant milestone, earning rigorous American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accreditation of their Logistics Professional Development Program (LPDP)!

For additional information, see an ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) article entitled “Supporting Highly-Qualified Logisticians in the Civilian and Military Workforce, ANAB Accredits the Air Force's Logistics Professional Development Programs”, and an earlier Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) article entitled “AFMC Offers Professional Logistics Certification Programs”.

In earning this important accreditation, the Air Force joins their Army logistics colleagues’ in receiving similar ANSI accreditation of their Army Master Logistician Program. Additionally, DAU is proud to support these two Service initiatives, both of which benefit life cycle logisticians and non-acquisition coded Air Force logistics professionals. Coupled with a series of Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) training courses, the Air Force’s innovative cross-cutting LPDP professional development opportunity in particular includes a range of our DAU life cycle logistics training courses such as LOG 1000 Life Cycle Logistics Fundamentals, LOG 104 Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM), LOG 105 Fundamentals of System Sustainment Management, and LOG 235 Performance Based Logistics (PBL), among others.

Kudos and a well-deserved shout-out to both our U.S. Army and our U.S. Air Force colleagues for each earning this important accreditation of their respective logistics professional development programs!
